Juno and Enchanted

March 15, 2008

Watched two really good movies today, thanks to streaming videos.

Juno

I loved the dialogue and the storyline. Even the ending was very appropriate! I guess we all wonder what would happen if we were victims of an unplanned pregnancy. (Though I must admit that we’d be very culpable victims at that.) I know my parents wouldn’t be as accepting or reasonable as Juno’s parents. For one, nobody would ever expect it of me. Happily, a long distance relationship is the best natural birth control. Haha!

Enchanted

McDreamy was dreamy, as always. James Marsden though… What a voice! If Marc had a voice like that, we’d have fun singing duets! As it is, our style of singing is vastly different.

James should definitely do more musicals — with Cyclops and Wolverine dominating the musical scene, it’s very possible that the genre would return in full force! I noticed something though… Hugh Jackman doesn’t have a single musical. He sings a lot in interviews. They videotape his broadway productions. He sang and danced when he hosted the Tony Awards… But where’s his singing and dancing movies?

Dearest Loves

March 13, 2008

I don’t really like the way this blog was set up. So for public posts, check here. :) I’ve always got lots of tidbits to share. Same as always! Everything I’ve been sharing here has always been a little bit public in nature anyway.

For really private, juicy, emo posts — Get an LJ and add me. :) Leave me a comment to let me know so I can add you on my friends list too. That LJ is well-filtered.

Rollerblading!

I’ve always been a closet inline skating fan.  It just looks really fun, and it seems like a great way to get some cardiovascular exercise (not to mention lose some weight!).  If I knew how to rollerblade, I’d definitely go do it!  For now though, I’ll just be content with reading about the latest rollerblading reviews and articles at InlinePlanet.com.

InlinePlanet.com is your ultimate online resource for all things rollerblading.  They’ve got everything from rollerblading news to tips to just articles about anything rollerblading.  They also offer product reviews, skate routes, and skate videos if you’re interested.  All of this is provided in a very user-friendly website, so you don’t need any tricks to figure your way around the site!

One day, I’ll learn how to rollerskate, I really will.  For now, I’ll just read about it.  Check out InlinePlanet.com!

Kiss The Cook!

I’m no Iron Chef, but there’s one thing I can cook really well.. and that would be omelettes!  Yes sir, I have mastered the art of cooking vegetables, cheese, and other good stuff and stuffing them inside a perfectly cooked egg.  You should see my omelettes.  They’re EGG-celent!

Today’s omelettes are stuffed with hot banana peppers.. I think it’s the same thing they put in Subway restaurants when they don’t have Jalapeno peppers!  Those are some hot eggs!

Just sharing!  :)

Surprise, surprise!

March 12, 2008

I finally got my remote to work, so I’m going to use it on my laptop for the first time tonight. I’m going to watch episodes from Band of Brothers, and when I’m done…I’m just going to press the stop button on my remote. Wow. I’ve never had one of these before! I’m sooo glad I got it!

Now, all I need are more DVDs from Region 3. I’ve set my laptop’s region to the same as HK and the Philippines because my favourite DVDs are all from that region. All my new DVDs however… Region 1. Sucks. Oh well! Maybe I can find a multi-region DVD player one day.

I want to make my own clothes!

We have this sewing machine here at home. My Mom bought it because she knows I’ve always been thinking about making my own clothes. I’ve got a couple of designs already! Now all I need are a good pair of fabric shears, good thread, fab fabric, and the know-how. Yep. I don’t know how to operate the sewing machine. I don’t even think I have the stable enough hands to sew something with a sewing machine! If I remember correctly, my robe ended up looking a bit distorted. My pillowcase was decent enough though…I think.

In any event. If anybody can give me some sewing tips, feel free to drop me a line. :)
