I want to find out what's beyond the bend...

Ellen on Heath

January 25, 2008

I know it might seem crazy that I’m still mourning him… I mean, I don’t know him in person or anything like that. But I DO miss him. For some reason, I think he’ll be making more movies. It hasn’t dawned on me yet that he never WILL make anymore movies…

His is the first celebrity death that I seem to be taking harder than usual. I guess that’s what happens when somebody you’ve had a crush on since his first appearance dies so unexpectedly. I guess in a way, I’m glad I never knew him. I don’t want anyone I know to die. I’d hate to be in Michelle’s place right now.

Until I know how he died, I’d probably be consumed with checking Heath Ledger updates. That’s part of any grieving process, isn’t it? Just knowing the details.

Here’s how Ellen Degeneres remembered him on her show. It’s so obvious she was about to cry. It’s the most touching account I’ve seen of him…

RIP Heath Ledger: This goes straight to my gut.

January 23, 2008

I was shocked when I found out. So many young men have died these past weeks… Brad Renfro, and now Heath. Heath’s death affects me deeply (even more so than Brad’s) because it is so unexpected. I had always expected his career to span decades — he was so talented! I’m going to miss him. Plus, unlike Brad, Heath has had so much exposure and the world had grown to love him over the years.

Whether the cause was drugs or something else (I’m hoping it’s the latter), he lived a life that produced great movies that people would watch and enjoy for all the decades after.

Hopefully Michelle and their daughter, as well as the rest of his family, would be okay one day… I just can’t imagine how right now. Poor Michelle!  To suffer such a loss so early…

Makes me wonder though. Would they still show his movies? The Dark Knight’s set to be released this summer… I hope they do. It would be added to what would be his legacy. In an interview, he said "Playing the Joker has been the most fun I’ve had..maybe will ever have.." Don’t quote me on that. Just watch the video below…  But it made me think — it was the most fun he will ever have, because he won’t be able to make any more movies.

I miss Heath already.

Too much death.

Give me Credit!

In today’s world, any business hoping to be successful must have the means to process credit cards.  Total Merchant Services (TMS) can help you with that.  They will provide merchants with FREE credit card processing equipment.  All that is required is the merchant go through a simple application process.  After that’s done, they’ll get their free credit card machine within 2 days.  Also, all equipment is warranted by TMS.  That means not only will they replace defective equipment within 24 hours, but they’re also going to be footing the bill.

Why’s it free?  Well, TMS believes in investing in businesses early on, to build a long lasting professional relationship with them.  The customer service is also top-notch, with over 100 customer support people ready to answer any concerns.  Oh, besides credit card machines, they also give debit pin pads, check imagers for check guarantee and electronic check conversion, and tons of other stuff.

If you’ve got a business, but you don’t have credit card processing capabilities yet, I suggest you check them out.

Everest

January 22, 2008

May 23, 2006, David Sharp died at Mount Everest. I can’t really blame any of the climbers for it — I’m watching Everest: Beyond the Limit right now, and I can see the foolishness that most people have once the altitude gets into their head. The higher up they go, the harder it is for them to keep a clear head.

My favourite climber of the series would have to be Mogens Jensen. He’s a smart one! He knew his limits, and he never gave up. He didn’t make it up successfully May, 2006, but he did make it the following year. Go Mogens!!!

Baby You Can Drive My Car

January 17, 2008

I love New York City!  There’s just so much the place has to offer!  The lights, the bustling city streets, the SHOPPING.  Of course, I’m not alone in my love for that place.  Everybody loves New York.  That’s why it’s always so crowded!  And with parking so impossible, I think it’s a good idea to use Dial7.com’s door to door 24 hour car and limo service.

Dial 7 Car & Limosine Service has been around for 30 years, and is extremely trusted by New Yorkers looking for safe, efficient, and on time transportation.  If you’re in need of anything of that sort and you’re in the tri-state area, you can call Dial 7 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.  You read that right.  They’ve got capable and knowledgable operators ready to answer your calls.  You can also pay in either cash, credit card, or corporate account.

And since this is New York we’re talking about, you know the service is also very modern.  You can also book online at the Dial 7 website, if you’re the techy type.

Need a limousine service JFK-bound?  Or maybe you want to get picked up from La Guardia?  Check out Dial7.com now!

Bad Credit Alert!

I don’t ever want to be in a position wherein I’m counted as a bad credit consumer, but if that ever happens, at least I know it’s not the end of the world.  I can still be able to repair my credit rating and get my financial life back in order.  All it takes is making smart decisions and following through with them.

BadCreditOffers.com can help people with, obviously, bad credit.  The website is a great place to learn about what offers are available for bad credit consumers.  Instead of desperately grabbing at every "bad credit offer" that comes your way, you’ll be able to make an informed decision by comparing offers and deciding which one best suits your needs.  When dealing with your financial future, especially when you’re digging yourself out of a hole, you cannot afford to make ill-informed decisions.  If you’re looking for bad credit loans or a way to kick start your credit repair process, BadCreditOffers.com is the place for you.

I’m spiraling down…

January 13, 2008

Funny how we learn more about what the "rest of the Philippines" is like from an old Canadian priest who was posted there. We had the two fathers in our home for dinner! Learned a lot, as usual!

I feel fat, sloppy, ugly, and unhealthy. :-s I need to get a hold of myself.
