Speaking of work…

November 4, 2007

What I'd give to telecommute instead of having to walk fifteen minutes to work in the cold, then walking fifteen minutes to my home in the dead of the night. If I worked from home, I would be protected from the elements. I could dictate when I work, so if I have to study for a test, I could. I can go to the bathroom anytime I wanted to. I do not have to get out of my night clothes. I can eat while I work. If I were a mom, I could work AND take care of my kids at the same time!

I hate how in working retail, I can't dictate which hours I want to work. If I did get a job somewhere else (somewhere downtown, for instance?), the daily hassles of getting to work would be too much for me. That means I'd have to spend over a hundred Canadian dollars per month to commute to work using a metropass too!

If only I worked from home…

But alas, that's not what I do.

That's what the people who work for Courtney Raymond Consultants have though. They have a  unique opportunity to be their own boss.

Courtney Raymond Consultants is the number one recruiting firm for Merrill Lynch (no need to introduce what Merrill Lynch is!), and they need good people with great phone skills who wish to work flexible hours from their home. Who wouldn't want that? CRC provides the training and the leads for FREE. Plus, you don't have to buy anything, so you wouldn't have to worry about that.

Check it out. It could mean the best change you've ever done in your life!

What 7 hours at Gap entails…

I'll be standing and running around for three hours and thirty minutes straight during which time I'd feel exhausted. I'll have a thirty minute break wherein I can eat, but rather than relaxing, I'll be fidgeting and constantly checking my watch — I wouldn't want to be late when I punch in! I'll then rush back to the store, punch in, and resume my duties. The store closes at 5 on Sundays, so I'll be consumed with folding, returning clothes, and sizing for the last two hours.

Yes, I really DO earn my paycheck.

Blast the Fat!

I'm getting fat again — especially around the abdomen! Oh well. If I can remove it, I would. Liposuction is one option, I think. I'm thin throughout, but this tummy is almost impossible to make disappear. If I lived in UK, I'd definitely consider MYA Cosmetic Surgery. They're ethical about the way they do things. In this article written by a real and normal woman in UK's Times Online, the surgeon even made sure that she (the woman) was doing it in a healthy way. Now that's the ethical way to do it! A real doctor! It's not like the consumerist kind of medical care nowadays wherein whatever the patient wants, the doctor will just give without any real advice.

They've got other procedures there too. Like breast enlargement! I definitely need that. There's body reshaping and facial surgery. They've got some non-surgical procedures too. If you're too large breasted, maybe a breast reduction is the procedure for you. Breast uplift? Yeah, some women need that when they get to a certain age.

Plastic surgery isn't for everybody, but if it's for you, you should canvas around for the good places to have to procedure done. Some place reliable! Go get a consult in different clinics so you'll know what's best for you. If you live in the UK though, go visit MYA first.

Happy Beautification, all of you!

Techno-fied!

I hate to say this, but technology has this HUGE control on me. I was never one for electronics like Ipods and new cellphones, but I do need A cellphone and I rely heavily on my laptop and the internet. With all the demands I put on my laptop, it's really important that I take care of it and add to it. And if anything needs replacing, I have to hunt the part as soon as I notice that the other one's no longer working. Otherwise, I panic. That's what happens when you're in a long-distance relationship. Any minor tech problem turns into a huge catastrophe!

That's why tech bargains is a convenient site for me. Everything technology-related I need, I can find it there for a cheaper price. With all the clothes shopping I do, I HAVE to save somewhere, right?

If I'm looking for something but I can't afford to spend too much on it, I can go to techbargains.com, check the product reviews using their easy-to-use database, and make sure I get an RSS feed to find out what the best bargains are. I can even find out from my mobile phone! (Of course, with such a high-tech site, they need high-tech features.) Plus, the deal alerts are catered according to MY interests. I don't have to get alerts all the time for bargains I don't really need. I can get alerts for deals, coupons, rebates…

I'm not an internet-savvy person (I can't even customize my website to put flashy stuff on it!), but even I find techbargains.com an easy site to navigate through. Happily, it's also updated 24/7, so I don't have to worry about the information on the site not being accurate.

Anyway, with Christmas coming up, maybe some of you might want to check it out for bargain deals on gifts for your loved ones or yourself. Cheap ipods, anyone?
