Song Line-Up
September 23, 2007Well…Vocal lessons seemed so short earlier, like we didn't have so much time. There was this new student there, and he wasn't helping any. It was his first lesson and he was touchy — sensitive. He was also always looking for praise! He'd interrupt everybody because he was so eager to out-sing everybody. Heh. Ah well! I'm singing a duet with him though. Maybe he'd improve on acquaintance!
My line-up of songs as of today:
- Canzone di Azucena (from an opera by Giussepe Verdi)
- You're Still You (Josh Groban song)
- Panis Angelicus (sacred aria)
- Take My Breath Away (Anybody ever watch Top Gun? I'm singing this with April.)
- Think of Me (I'm doing this duet with the new guy.)
Next week, I'll probably start with Ave Maria too. I forgot to call Andrei last night and he only remembered it when he got to the mall.
I can't imagine ever doing really well with the Canzone in the near future, but I'll still keep working at it. I'm close to perfecting Panis Angelicus though, and Think of Me's too familiar to be THAT hard. You're Still You is a challenge towards the end, but I'm loving it! It needs more practice though.
Anyone want a personal concert? LOL!
