Starting a Business
September 1, 2007A lot of people are thinking about starting a business right now. My brothers and Marc to name a few. It's not as easy as having a great idea. Great ideas always need funding. For instance, Rex and Glenn once thought about a sort of messenger service. They needed to finance equipment like computers, printers, and faxes for offices in two sides of the globes. That didn't happen because they didn't have the funding.
It's nice to have a small idea and make it big, but sometimes things start out big.
It would be easy if we had Daddy-dearest pay for a new business. Maybe Mommy could lend you her pension and you can just pay her back? Maybe you've got thousands saved in your bank account anyway. Not everybody's as lucky, and for some, they wouldn't want to ask help from a family member.
There's a lot of options though. For example, one could find partners to help shoulder the costs. For bigger projects and newer ideas, one can find a venture capitalist firm.
My brother and his fellow engineers won this business plan competition. They wanted to market a cheaper alternative of this medical device. It could easily be realized because a lot of venture capitalists approached them to help them make their business plan into a real business.
We don't all have to join contests just to get funding though. Another option is to go to SubmitBusinessPlan.com to register, upload your business plan, and have venture capital firms, angel investors, and banks to help you get the funding you need to start that business. All you have to do is register, use their search form to find out which organization would be willing to help your idea with a specified amount and type of funding, select whatever category you belong to, upload your business plan, and then SubmitBusinessPlan.com makes your business plan available to everyone who can help you start your business.
You don't have to be old and settled to start a business. All the successful ones began early — during a time wherein the mind still works and ideas are still fresh.
Good luck!
